Originally a sleepy fishing village, el Cabanyal / Cabañal is a neighbourhood by the beach in Valencia. The 19th and 20th centuries saw the emergence of the modernist artistic movement, with architects in Valencia such as Vicente Ferrer and Demetrio Ribes. In Cabanyal, a distinct architectural style developed, adapting modernist elements to homes, with a unique blend of individual preferences, using monochromatic tiles and diverse decorative motifs. This building houses a taska / tasca, a local seafood restaurant.
